Adam Smith, ¿bien interpretado por los primeros traductores españoles?

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo no es la obra completa, sino en concreto, analizar los motivos por los que La Riqueza de las Naciones en España y en Latinoamérica, se conoció censurada en los siglos XVIII y XIX y analizar a su vez si los motivos de esta censura corresponden a las ideas que efectivamente defendió Adam Smith. No se pretende juzgar las intenciones de ninguna de las partes que intervienen en este proceso pero sí entender el contexto en el que sucedieron y juzgar si en los países hispanohablantes se conoció verdaderamente en esos siglos lo que Adam Smith efectivamente quiso expresar.

The objective of this paper is not the complete work, but namely to analyze the reasons for which in Spain and Latin America The Wealth of Nations, was censored in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and to analyze in turn whether the reasons for this censorship correspond to the ideas that Adam Smith effectively defended. It is not intended to judge the intention of any of the parties involved in this process but to understand the context in which they occurred, and to judge whether people in Spanish-speaking countries during those centuries knew what Adam Smith actually wanted to express.
